What kind of work do you proofread or edit?

Can you write content from scratch?
Absolutely. If you’re looking for help with website copy, social media captions, bios, or any content that needs to sound natural and polished, I also offer copywriting services. Whether you’ve got a rough draft or a blank page, I’ll help bring your message to life in your voice.
What if I have specific requirements?
No problem. Before we get started, I’ll ask for a short sample of your document (usually 200–500 words) so I can assess what level of editing or proofreading is needed. This sample edit is free and helps me tailor my service to you. Win–win.
How much do you charge?
Great question – and the honest answer is: it depends.
Every project is a little different, so I like to quote based on what you actually need. Whether it’s a quick proofread, an in-depth edit, or some fresh copywriting magic, I’ll take into account the scope, the timing, and how hands-on you’d like me to be.
What I can say is that I aim to keep my rates fair, transparent, and kind to your budget. I also offer flexible retainer options if you need ongoing support each month.

How do payments work?
If you’re based in South Africa, payment is made via EFT. For international clients, I use PayPal. All details will be confirmed once we’ve agreed on your project scope and timeline.
How long does proofreading or editing take?
Turnaround times depend on the length and complexity of your document, plus current workload. Generally, I recommend allowing at least a week for documents under 15,000 words to ensure a thorough double read. Need it faster? Let me know – we can discuss expedited options.
How will I receive my edited documents?
I prefer to work in Microsoft Word format and will deliver the document with Track Changes turned on. This way, you can easily see every correction, suggestion, and comment, and decide what you want to keep. I also provide a ‘clean’ version of the document to make it easier for you to read, however, I’m always available to clarify any edits if you have questions.
Is my work safe with you?
Completely. I treat all documents with full confidentiality. Your work stays between us – I won’t share or publish anything without your explicit permission. I may ask to display a book cover or company logo in my portfolio, but only with your consent.
